Feature Friday: Carmen LeBlanc

For those of you who may not know, the person we are introducing today is in fact the lady that writes all these blog posts and helps with the website and all the social media content. Carmen started working here in June 2018 just one day a week, and then came on board full time in October 2018. She loves all the work we do and is proud to be a part of the My Home Mercantile team.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

My name is Carmen LeBlanc. I’m originally from Cheticamp, Nova Scotia and I moved to Moncton in 2009 to study music at Université de Moncton. I am currently working as a blogger for my website, Tiny Adventures Journey, as well as the head of online sales and social media for My Home Mercantile.

What is one of the coolest things you've done?

I would have to say holding a koala. That was on my bucket list, along with going to Australia.

Who always makes you smile?

It’s a tie between my amazing boyfriend Max and my mom. They make me smile for different reasons, but it all comes down to happiness. They make me really happy and I’m so fortunate to have them and so many other wonderful people in my life who make me smile every day!

What do you like to do for fun?

I always want to answer questions like this with something cool like hiking or doing extreme sports. Although I love the idea of both those things, it’s not what I actually do. I spend a lot of my time writing and taking photographs. I think that those are what I am most passionate about. That and music. I love to sing in our women’s choir called Choeur Beauséjour.

What’s your favourite animal?

I love cats. I love all sorts of cats. I don’t know what it is that made me love them so much from an early age but I remember asking my parents for a cat when I was only 4 or 5 years old. They’re just so soft and cuddly.

  • I can vouch for that! Smiling is her fave thing after cats! It is all we have been hearing since early childhood… kitties kitties kitties.
